Our Hospitality Projects
The design of service-oriented establishments such as hotels, bars, restaurants, lounges, and spas is referred to as hospitality. In hospitality design projects, ideas of beauty, elegance, and leisure play an important role. Hotels and resorts, which provide a tranquil refuge for both wanderlusts and jaded travellers, or a venue for corporate activities, make up a major portion of the hospitality industry.
Designers apply their expertise to find a method to incorporate the ideals of relaxation and comfort that are associated with the hospitality industry into different hotel settings. Because design is so important in creating the proper tone for a business, architects and interior designers take great care when choosing the right furnishings, architectural elements, and materials for each project they work on.
As a Davao architectural firm we have always been very detail-oriented when it comes to great design challenges such as hotels(and/or hospitality-based establishments). There is no similar solution for each design we have made. Here are some of our designs:
El Don Beach Resort
Starting the resort entailed a lot of imagination from the architects and the client. Every client has a unique idea in mind when it comes to their dream structures, and the architect has to be just as visionary to be parallel in terms of brand goals.
During the planning phase, the site’s challenging terrain was the major consideration for the layout of facilities and amenities. The local sun path and surrounding vistas determined the orientation of buildings to maximize the view. The orientation also allowed the rooms to have adequate natural lighting which guests have full control over through the use of premium drapery.
One more unique thing we made for the resort is the weather resistant waywalk leading to the ocean and the bungalows that are cozy. The waywalk leading to the ocean is perfect for a photoshoot depicting an endless pathway to the ocean, when captured in the right angle.
Malagos Garden Resort
Every design at the Malagos Garden Resort was planned by our architects to adhere to Tropical design principles. One of the many ways we efficiently designed this eco-resort’s architecture is by using passive-cooling techniques through the addition of koi ponds around the al fresco dining area of their Koi Cafe. Our dedicated architects for the area are well versed on how the Malagos garden looks and how the changes would affect the entire flow of the business. The things that are considered on construction changes are vehicle passage, pathways, views, and even a welcoming feeling could be affected.
Another noteworthy thing is the design used for the children’s playground. Interesting simple scientific plays with sound and image illusions come to play there. We design not only a fun place for kids to run and play around but also an opportunity for them to learn.
So does this go to the butterfly and chocolate museums at Malagos. They are interactive museums that would beckon you to a total sensory experience.
On-Going Project
Among all our other projects, we have another hotel that is in progress. Our client wishes to keep all information classified for now. The construction will take a while; a long thriller for what we have planned. However, we could give out a few details before the final reveal – soon.
The hotel is by the Dahican beach, making it both challenging and exciting considering the place’s strong winds and waves, and the strong competition among all hospitality establishments that have long reigned the area. Beyond all aesthetic merits, the first things that are in concern are always safety and durability.
The form of this project is intended to face strong headwinds at an angle to reduce its impact against the building face. The building is also set far from the shore, adhering strictly to national laws on easements so as to avoid the risk of damage from storm surges and to minimize the disturbance of the development on the local shoreline ecosystem.
The project also has an infinity pool and a dedicated sewage treatment plant to ensure that the wastewater is compliant with the national standards for water before disposal. Guests can also enjoy the sea breeze while dining alfresco after a relaxing stay in the rooms applied with modern filipino design.
