Client’s Beach Resort With Perfect Outdoor Architectural Landscape
Room service. On-site facilities. Mint scented pillows. All of these elements are associated with a wonderful hotel experience. As a Davao Architecture firm, while a successful stay concludes with a nice checkout procedure, it usually begins with a positive first impression of a space's physical feel and landscape.
CP Design and Architecture understands that providing the perfect outdoor experience at your resort may result in happier visitors and more future visits. We have skilled architects that collaborate with gardeners with landscaping design on our client’s beach resort that would definitely change the face of the common conception of Dahican beach resorts.
Imagine planting at the beach side where the wind is salty, the land is dry, the soil is broken, and the heat is scorching. With these considerations here are the solutions we came up with to create that perfect Landscape architecture for our client’s beach resort.
Tolerance To The Burning Sun
Plants like the Yucca palm, Rhapis palm, Schefflera arboricola, and Heliconia are plants that have high tolerance to the sun. Unlike succulents that do not bear much of a colorful artistic side, these plants have a colorful side of them. The great thing is that the Schefflera arboricola’s leaves color show more differently coloured zones when exposed more under the sun.
The Heliconia plant bears a type of flower that is almost as hard as its leaf. It is not an endemic plant but its uniqueness makes it stand out in the crowd. The rhapis palm is a common type of plant on beaches, aside from its tolerance to the hot sun, the shade it creates is perfect for a photoshoot.
Hardy Plants
With the collaboration of our architects and gardeners, plant’s viability is sought to suit the aesthetic needs. Hardy plants can survive the extreme heat and the salty air of the sea shore. To mention a few of the plants we considered: the yellow spider lily has a nice yellow color that complements the golden sunset, bamboo is a great barrier to break the strong wind, acalypha is perfect to add more color especially at times when the sky is red.
Maintenance
To keep the plants alive and pretty, commonly they would need regular trimming and sometimes extra care to control the heat by placing large shade nets above the plants. To guarantee the sustainability of a perfect landscape in our client’s resort, we selected plants that would only need watering and nothing more and nothing less to keep the aesthetic look. Though sometimes, a small trim here and there on some plants may be needed if it becomes an obstruction.
As A result, our outdoor architecture designers created a tropical themed landscape just as what our client wanted.
